A coin sensor was used to detect when a TOT was placed in the TOT slot. Two pull resistor were placed in series with the emitter(DS1, IR LED) and detector(Q1, Photo NPN). The Tiva pin was connected between the detector and ground. E TA.
Crop LEDs
Surrounding each of the four crops holes are strip LEDs which light up either red or green or flash to determine when a crop is ready to be planted or harvested, over watered, or the game is in welcome mode.
CROP Harvesting/Planting
Read switches were placed on each of the four crop base rack and pinion mechanism and then a magnet was place at the bottom of each crop which would be attached and detached from the base.
Watering Hose Circuit
A hose consisting of a IR LED and a switch connected to a vibration motor was used as a water the crops and give feedback to using to know when they were watering.
Crop Watering Receiving Circuit
In order to detect the IR LED, photo transistors were connected in front of each crop hole.
Water Release Valve Circuit
The potentiometer circuit is used to control the rate of water released.
Water Pump Circuit
A potentiometer is used with a mechanical crank to pump water for the the water hose to be used.
Crops Killed 7 Segment Display Circuit
7 segment display was used to display the number of crops killed during the game.
Crops Killed Shift Register Circuit
Each segment of the 7-segment LED Display was connected to the output of the shift register.
Servos
Servos were used for TOT return, raising of the 4 crops, rescue ship movement, food supply, and water tank level.
